Well, not them themseleves but this is random!

this park is just down the road from me

http://www.camdenadvertiser.co...-spirit/1662924.aspx

A COLOURFUL array of floats, bands, marchers and costumes will pour along Campbelltown's main street this Saturday for the annual highlight of the festival the Fisher's Ghost Parade.

Starting at 1.30pm, it will proceed along Queen Street from Broughton Street to the Old Camden Road roundabout.

There are more than 60 float entries this year, ranging from the Campbelltown Camden District Band to John Grasso's Muscle, Custom and Classic Vehicles and Campbelltown Highland Dancing.

Campbelltown's 2009 Citizen of the year, Tanyia Harris, and Mayor Aaron Rule will open the parade.

Afterwards, celebrations will continue with a free Family Fun Festival in Koshigaya Park until 4.30pm, free entertainment and a tribute concert to Crowded House and Split Enz at Bradbury Park until late and a carnival and fireworks spectacular.

In the local supermarket the other day, I was surprised to hear Natalie Imbruglia's version of Pineapple Head (from She Will Have Her Way), playing in the background. I'd expect to hear CH's version, but no this one! Smiler

I heard "You Never Know" on one local station pretty regularly--the Wilco version, well before I knew the track would be on The Sun Came Out.

What I have been hearing recently, much to my delight, is "Hazel Black," on that same station.

Keith Olbermann, on NBC this evening, summarizing the Vikings/Detroit NFL game (which I didn't watch, indeed would never watch, but my nephew is watching it in the next room): "Hey Now, Hey Now, Don't Dream It's Over."

Don't know that this quite counts but the Keith Olbermann (yuk) on NBC's Sunday Football recap just said, "hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over" in his recap of the Bengals vs. the Steelers...

Been meaning to post this for a while. On Black Friday (the day after our Thanksgiving here in America, a.k.a. the busiest shopping day of the year) I went with some friends to Bojangles (a southern/Cajun chicken eatery) and Weather With You started playing as we were waiting in line to order.

Then it was a Christmas song, then The Cure. It was an odd mix. But cool to hear WWY in such a random place.

I have had a couple of shocks while working over the past week. On Thursday last week, I was having my break and Neil's version of 'Throw Your Arms Around Me.' came over the PA, I jumped in my chair I was so excited. Big Grin And today, I heard 'Four Seasons...'. All in all, I think my workplace has good music playing. :P

In Starbucks, where Fall at Your Feet just finished playing. I've heard the song so many times for so many years that I almost don't hear it anymore when it comes up on one of my Finn mixes. But here, encountering it unexpectedly, I'm struck once again by its astonishing beauty.

I heard it there too, must be on their in-store playlist. Also heard "Weather With You" at the gas station over the PA.

I met a friend for coffee in an obscure little cafe in Ashgrove, Brisbane, yesterday and I stayed long enough to hear Pour le Monde, not once, but twice. Smiler

I hate that moment when the guys take off their guitars and Matt throws the sticks into the crowd and there is no more...for tonight anyway.

Paige, I say it's lucky to hear CH or anything connected. So you're sure to become a great driver and pass on your first try- congrats!

Not so much unexpected, but Radio 2 in the UK are using 'She Called Up' for their Sarah Kennedy/Dawn Patrol trailer, its a 2 hr radio show between 5 and 7 am...so with this, and the exclusive gig on May 20th you'd expect Saturday Sun to make the play list wouldn't you!? ....I listen most days and have yet to hear it...double standards from Radio 2? Maybe....

Not to mention an interesting song choice as you're sitting down at lunch.
