Top 5 Songs under 5 minutes

I thought for sure there'd be some Ramones on this list, but none of the tracks I could think of squeezed in under 2 minutes. Maybe they just seemed short?

1: Boat Joyride (1:02) - Neil Finn
2: Nice Legs Shame About Her Face (1:59) - The Monks
3: Welcome To The Working Week (1:22) - Elvis Costello
4: Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want (1:52) - The Smiths

and finally, the band that could have filled this category ten times over:

5: Twisting (1:57) - They Might Be Giants

Damn Mr. Sadly got in before I did...

1. Don't You Forget About Me - Simple Minds (from The Breakfast Club):- Don't care what anybody says, this song rocks!

2. Footloose - Kenny Loggins (from Footlose of course!):- Being a DJ for hens night, I am so sick of this song Big Grin

3. Maniac - Michael Sembello (from Flashdance):- Could've picked the title tune but this sounds like 1983 in a nutshell

4. Axel F - Harold Faltermeyer (from Beverly Hills Cop):- I loved this when it came out in '85 and I'm not ashamed to say I still love it

5. Oh Yeah - Yello (from Berris Fueller's Day Off):- Okay it wasn't actually written for this movie but it's now forever tied in with it. Personally I'll always connect it with Duffman.

Okay I'll do the 90s then...

1. Little Green Bag - George Baker Selection (from Resevoir Dogs):- Okay, it's from 1970 but Quentin Tarantino picked this song so wisely that it's now forever associated with one of the best title sequences of any movie

2. Stay (I Missed You) -Lisa Loeb (from Reality Bites):- Never liked this song but this track's so 1994, it's almost hysterical

3. My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion (from Titanic):- I don't really mind this song. Back then, you couldn't escape the damn thing

4. Streets Of Philadelphia - Bruce Springsteen (from Philadelphia) :- Brilliant song from a fantastic movie. Possibly one of the best things Broooce has done. Listen to it with the lights off on a cold night, eerie...

5. I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston (from The Bodyguard):- Oh God No! To make it even worse, the soundtrack is one of the biggest selling albums of all time. WTF?

The next Top 5 remains the same as my answer to the 80s soundtracks

1. Sadie The Cleaning Lady - John Farnham (but it is crap)

2. Cleanup Time - John Lennon (...whereas this isn't crap. Not literally about cleaning a house but inspirational enough)

3. Our House - Madness (what better than a song about domestic bliss to make you clean up your own house?)

4. The Mess - 1927 (for the chorus line "Who's gonna clean up the mess?". Apart from that, the song is crap)

5. Dishwater Blues - Roy Cook (okay this is obscure. But it is a song about washing dishes after not paying a bill at a restaurant)

5 Songs About Cruising (without mentioning Smokey Robinson)
