Well this is fun...

1. "Help Me Rhonda" (Beach Boys) - Misheard: "Well since she put me down / There's been owls pukin' in my bed". Real lyric: "Well since she put me down / I've been out doin' in my head"

2. "Purple Haze" (Jimi Hendrix) - One of the more famous ones. Misheard "Excuse me while I kiss this guy". Real lyric "Excuse me while I kiss the sky"

3. "When I Grow Up" (Pussycat Dolls) - The latest one. Misheard "I wanna have boobies". Real lyric: "I wanna have groupies"

4. "Reckless" (Australian Crawl) - With a singer like James Reyne, almost every lyric is misheard. Misheard "She don't like / Fat Canada graveyard". Real lyric "She don't like / That kind of behavior"

5. "King Of Wishful Thinking" (Go West) - one of the more funnier ones. Misheard lyric "I'll pretend my s**t's not stinking". Real lyric "I'll pretend my ship's not sinking"

They were hilarious, Dazz! Thanks for the laugh (albeit at your expense). Big Grin
Re: Reckless, I remember Molly Meldrum saying he had people request on Countdown that they play the "Dead Canada Beaver" song. Sing it - it works! The other one he used to get was "Alex the Seal"("Our Lips Are Sealed" by the Go-Gos!)

Well, this will end up being a case of guilty pleasures for me....

1. Def Leppard - "Hysteria" (Hysteria) What a great bridge this song has.

2. The Bee Gees - "How Deep is Your Love" (Saturday Night Fever) I didn't come to appreciate this song until recently. It's an amazing chord progression. It took some real tallent to write this one.

3. Madonna - Ray of Light (Ray of Light) I really hope nobody I know is reading this.....

4. Electric Light Orchestra - "Don't Bring Me Down" (Discovery) Unlike the above acts where that is the only song I like by them, I am a huge ELO fan, but for me, Discovery was where things really started to go wrong for Jeff Lynne. This one track stands out though as a representation of his former glory.

5. Pink Floyd - "Marooned" (The Division Bell) The two Floyd albums that Dave Gilmour made without Waters were both huge disappointments to me. This one track though has a great feel to it. One of those real nice Rick Wright chord progressions with some great guitar work from Gilmour.

Hysteria is a really bad album?

Ray Of Light is crap?

Discovery not worth a toss?

Hmmm... I knew it'd be subjective but that must be taking the piss

Anyway, here goes

1. Tommy - The Who (and the least pretentious believe it or not!)

2. War Of The Worlds - Jeff Wayne (don't care what YOU think, I say this kicks ass)

3. I Robot - Alan Parsons Project (All their albums were concepts but this is still the one for me)

4. Ogden's Nut Gone Flake - Small Faces (okay, only side two was the concept side and even that's a little flimsy. I just wanted a plug for one of the best albums ever)

5. The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table - Rick Wakeman (Completely over-the-top in a 1975 prog rock way. If you make it through all of it without wincing, you're just as demented as me. Very much a guilty pleasure!)

BTW, I side with John Lennon in saying that Sgt.Pepper... wasn't really a concept album beyond the first two songs so it doesn't qualify.

1. Bagatelles by Alexander Tcherepnin
2. Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini by Sergei Rachmaninoff
3. L'Allegro, Il Penseroso ed il Moderato by George Frideric Handel
4. Albinoni Adagio by Remo Giazotto
5. Symphony No 5 by Gustav Mahler

1 and 2 represent my deepest classical interest, Russian pianists. 3 is an amazing ode based on a Milton poem. 4 and 5 are for when you need to cry in your beer. Smiler

My next challenge requires you to rhyme a synonym for rooster with the word rock. That's right... your top 5 cockrock songs! Uh huh, think "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC and the like...

Nice choices double-h. Particularly Mahler's 5th (though I prefer the 10th myself).

Cockrock songs?

1. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin
2. Afterglow - Small Faces
3. Paradise by the Dashboard Light - Meat Loaf
4. Parisienne High Heels - Streetwalkers
5. Ladies of the Road - King Crimson

Number three I don't consider to be a good song, I was running out of ideas!
