That's pretty sad. But then if you're not producing any new material, it's either nothing or rehash a compilation album I guess.

Jacko is apparently living almost incognito in Vegas, & is apparently at work on a "New Album", with hot producer "Bubbles" at the helm.

Just listening to the new Residents album, Bunny Boy. Eeker Eeker Eeker

Given that there is something slightly sinister about people wearing bunny costumes at the best of times, this album only adds to the myth of Harvey, Donny Darko & Bugs Bunny.

Also enjoying the Kompakt Pop Ambient series, featuring, Music To Fall Asleep by Klimek.

Klimek seem to have vomited up some mercury there Seany. No wonder she fell asleep. Shouldn't chomp down so hard on those thermometers.

I've been listening to a bit of Bowie, a bit of Gary Numan, the latest Yello album and catching up on Supergrass' discography.

Tumbleweed Connection - Elton John : The deluxe edition. Brilliant album, almost forgives Elton of his many musical sins. The bonus disc is great too including an early version of "Madman Across The Water" with Mick Ronson on guitar. Wow.

Sheer Heart Attack - Queen : Truly classic. And completely over the top

News Of The World - Queen : Another great album from their golden era. Contains the song "Sheer Heart Attack" (yes, it's on this one and not the album of the same name). Queen with raw punk energy. No I'm serious!

Back In The High Life - Steve Winwood : Just as fantastic as I rememberd it. Literally not a bad track on it.

Verve Remixed 4 - Various : This is when remixing becomes an artform. One of the best in the series. The re-working of Ella Fitzgerald's "I Get A Kick Out Of You" is insanely brilliant and moving.

OMG IP2, Das Hokey Kokey is hilarious. Big Grin
Personally, what I am listening to the most is the Enz, as I am still working my way through my recent purchase of Enz to Enz.
The box is a constant feature on the front seat of my car.

I've been listening to Brian Wilson's Lucky Old Sun, which is streaming for free on spinner.com this week.

I know there are a couple of Wilson fans here.

What does anyone else think?

My first impression was that it was sort of lightweight, but the more I listen to it, the more gorgeous I think it is. The lyrics aren't up to much, but with Brian Wilson, the lyrics were never really the point. This is beautiful music.

I've been listening to the studio demos of That Lucky Old Sun for the last 6 months. It hasn't really grabbed me to be honest. Like most of his new stuff, it seems to be looking back to before Petsounds, musically, and I'm not a big fan of the early Beach Boys music.

I think no matter what he did it wasn't going to live up to Smile.

Excellent Kraftwerk piss take, that's on the Part Troll DVD (well worth checking out, particularly for the U2 sketch. You should check out his piss take of prog rock epics on I think the Bewilderness DVD, it's the one where the insects take over the world.

Was I the only who though Andrew Denton had no idea of how to interview Bill Bailey, nor understood anything musical that Bailey was talking about?

I've been listening to Colin Barley's songs, in particular his new one, Visa Card. Top stuff as always from a master of the ukulele.

Boy (Deluxe Edition) - U2:
This album is very much of it's time but that's probably why I like it. Bonus disc has tracks I haven't heard for years, if ever. Of course the remastering is superb (take note Mr.Rayner, this is how you do it)

A Day At The Races - Queen:
Continuing my fascination with 70's era Queen

Version - Mark Ronson:
Got this on sale. Great album, worthy of it's rep
