Hey there,

My fiance and I are looking for wedding bands with a Maori motif for our slightly New Zealand Themed wedding. We're also trying to decide between "Distant Sun" and "Fall At Your Feet".

Can anyone recommend an interent site that sells such rings?

Thanks,
Adam

Congratulations Adam Smiler

Is the kind of thing you have in mind?

There aren't any prices shown!

The other thought I had was to take an appropriate Maori motif and design your own, get a goldsmith to make it?

Wow, those rings are beautiful!

I wouldn't mind having one of those even if not for a wedding ring! Smiler

Have any of you heard of the Irish Claddagh rings? They are truely lovely too.
These Maori "type" rings are nice, but seem very targeted at the tourists (hence no price given), and having lived in NZ for many years I can honestly tell you that not one single Maori I ever met wore anything similar to those. Many rural Maori don't even bother with a ring all together.
To eveyone their own though Wink

That website looks a bit shady. We're not particularly interested in celebrating Maori culture, just looking for an attractive and unique design. We'll check out the Irish Claddagh rings though, thanks for the suggestion.

Although she doesn't make rings, Sharon Finn makes some beautiful necklaces and earrings your bride might want to wear on your wedding day. Sharon will custom make what you want too.
