Merujo - You must do. Largo is a place where even if you're not a fan of that artist, you will sure enjoy the show. I haven't been to the Coronet, but the only downside to original Largo was that good as dinner always was, just across the street is Canter's deli = ah! how to do both!

The Largo site lists it as "The 1st National International New Zealand Day". Since it's a funny name it's a safe bet to assume Flight of the Conchords will be part of it (they seem to like Largo).

No Liam! He'll be playing with Eddie Vedder in Boston that night! But I would add Rhys Darby to the list as he'll probably be en route to New York from New Zealand around then as Season 2 of FOTC begins filming here in August!

With the two Largo (LA) Neil shows blown out for July, there has been some talk of Neil appearing at Largo on August 2nd as part of International NZ Day (along with Bic Runga and Flight of the Conchords) I am still waiting for NF to confirm this- so keep an eye on the Frenz Forum or www.frenz.com/neilfinn/ NEWS area. If I hear that this is confirmed I will post (if I can).

I know Tim won't be in LA until early September, but he also be an option for Largo?

It's a pain I'm never in LA when these shows happen? Ugh. And you can't really get a ticket ahead and plan for it can you...?

Has anyone booked tickets to this yet? I called last Thursday and left a message on their machine with all the necessary info. Got back to work and realized I'd forgotten one thing, so I sent them a fax with that, as well as my contact numbers again. But I haven't heard back from them.

I know they said it takes them a few days, but I've never been to a Largo show before and don't know how long it usually takes them to respond.

For what it's worth, I ordered tickets, too, (just in case!) and my credit card was charged on 7/11 even though they never called to confirm!

Jenny it would be great to see you out here again, especially since my recent visit to NYC was a bust. :-/

Even if there's no Neil, or no Conchords, as my sister said, "I doubt it will suck, so it should be a fun night." (I'm going with her and her fiance, who sat with me behind you at LA #2.)

I'd almost NOT like to know if Neil will be there, so if he is there, it will be a pleasant (though not entirely unexpected) surprise. :-)

Ugh I want to go so badly, but I have to work!!!! I will just die if he ends up being there! Maybe I'll call in sick...Then again, it's a new job, so I shouldn't, esp. on a Saturday. Maybe I can get someone to switch with me. Dilemma!!!!

I got my confirmation call this week, but I quite unexplainedly FORGOT to ask the human I talked to about the line up. Clearly I was occupied by other important matters at the time. Though now I think those things must have been seriously trivial by comparison. Doh!

So, please catch me up on this story. Has anyone heard more detail on how likely it is that Neil will be participating? I will probably not fly halfway across the country for this without a fairly serious expectation of that. I must conserve precious frequent flyer miles for confirmed appearances!

I asked when I got my confirmation call (as I would need to fly in from New York) and they said they couldn't confirm anyone at that time!

Friends of mine who went to the Bic Runga/Flight of the Conchords shows at Largo said that Bic & FOTC confirmed they'd be there but no word of Neil!

My friend knows someone at Largo who said that "We are hoping for some Rungas, some Conchords and some Finns" but that isn't saying much!

So, my friend is going to Largo tomorrow night to see Greg Proops/FOTC and she is going to try to get confirmation one way or another since that will be one week out and they should know by then!

Personally, I think that they keep dangling Neil to sell tickets but I am happy to be proven wrong! I'll keep you posted!

It's not unknown for Neil to turn up unannounced... I don't know any more than any of you guys, but if the flights weren't so ridiculously expensive (that weekend is the height of the holiday season ) I'd take the chance - some of my favourite Neil bootlegs are from Largo, albeit the old venue. The Conchords and Bic will be great, so if you've got tickets I'm sure you won't be sorry

I agree 100% that The FOTC are well worth the trip but I have already seen then (4) times in NYC this year and they are moving back here next month so I'm only going out if there is a good chance that the Finnster will be holding court!
