At the end of She will have her way after neil yells "HEY" what is he saying next.

Also what does he sing in Better be home soon at the end of the solo section leading back into the last verse.

Man has it got me stumped.

I think (because every time I've heard Neil do it live that part has been different) it is

She will have her way
any time night or day
yeah
she will have her way
she will have her way
and not before time
no not before time
she will have her way

Thankyou so so much,

WE have been pulling our hair out trying to figure that one out.

Where in Aus are you mix Finngirl because if you are near Brisbane we would love for you to come to www.thefinnexperience.com.au on the 28th July.

If you are we are happy to offer you and a friend free entry.

Greg and Paul(Neil).

Hi Greg and Paul

you're most welcome, and thankyou so much for your kind offer (so nice to hear of a true Neil fan doing a tribute show, and one that can actually sing and play well too)when I am not in New Zealand I live in Woodbine, just outside Sydney so Brissie may be a little too far this time.Although I will be there in transit for a few hours next week but only in the airport Smiler

This belongs in the "mondegreens" thread, but I've always heard it as:

When the lights go out
And the night goes on
And I'm with you

But your interpretation makes much more sense.

BTW, I initially misread the title of the thread as "Neil's MADlibs..." Now, wouldn't THAT be fun?! Wink

So here where I live, any reference to Elvis is a given, but in LA in "Chocolate Cake," Neil says, "I saw Paris Hilton walk out of a 7-11." I SWEAR he's thinking about them ahead of time because then in Moscow it was, "I saw Boris Yeltsin walk out of a 7-11," which to my knowledge they don't even have 7-11s in any part of Russia...they do have Starbucks and Subway now though!!!

And who I wonder, could fail to notice the aching silence...

You not reproducing the 7 Worlds Collide version, GBass?

'In the quiet hours she comes
taking me towards my life
and theres something about that face
when you wake up
that makes everything alright, yeah
she will have her way' etc

Greg, where would you stand legally playing something like "Twice If You're Lucky". Does an official recorded version have to exist before you can cover it?
