Getting Somewhere

Just wondering where everyone is getting their cd from - just looking on Play and HMV £11.99 for the double disc and £8.95 for the single disc pre- order. Whenever i have pre-ordered in the past, it has landed on my doorstep on the day of release - genius!

Check out the link on Play :

Apologies if i'm repeating what someone else has already said before

I was all set to order the import from Amazon.com (as I really don't want to wait the extra month for the US release), when the price shot up from $28 to $40 for the two-disk set. Forty dollars seems a bit steep.

You can order the double CD from Amazon UK for about 14 pounds including shipping. It might take an extra day or two to arrive, but that's a heckuva lot cheaper.

I'll wait for the US release. I get all my music from Pat at World Records in Bakersfield, CA. I'm not so much on price as I am on having a local music expert who provides personal service.

Strangely, Amazon US is now showing the import as "discontinued by the manufacturer" and therefore unavailable for purchase. Whether this is because of the numerous factual inaccuracies in the cd description or because the listed release date of August 18 has passed with no cd available, I'm not sure. But they clearly need to update their info.

Regardless, I've ordered from Amazon UK. Thanks for the suggestion, slowpogo.

Was just wondering can this be got through the fanclub? I'm nearly sure I got an email/sales sheet saying you could get this and it was a special fanclub release, or am I imagining things?

PG Mentioned that it will be made available for international fans (not Aus/NZ) if your country doesn't get a release. Don't recall seeing any confirmation on this recently though...

Well call me old-fashioned, but I just went out and bought mine from a shop. I thought I was going to be out of luck as I couldn't find it at first, but HMV had filed it under Neil Finn and Friends.

The packaging is very nice, no plastic in it. I'm looking at the self-portraits right now! And inside, both behind the CDs and in the pocket that holds the booklet, is printed with the pattern you get on the inside of envelopes. It's little details like that which make me still want the physical product. I wish it was vinyl sized, but hey Smiler

Will be devoting my evening to listening!

Picked mine up at HMV. Paid over the odds for it but I was in town anyway checking out availability of the Beatles remasters.

I've got the CDs playing now (7WC, not the Beatles!) and am really enjoying it. Not as much NF as I'd have liked, but the variety is quite refreshing.
