- be great to get a 'post' from at the gig though, if anyone's 'got the technology'!

Will be checking back around 23:00 GMT anyway!

Just come out -sitting on tube. It was Neil Finn by himself. Amazing show. Rivalled palace theatre for me. Lots of audience participation, loads of requests taken, 3 people got up on stage. Played lots of solo stuff not surprisingly, leaps and bounds, twice if you're lucky, elephant song, amsterdam, walking on the spot, throw your arms etc. Went on for about 2hrs 15mins

In no particular order, he played
private universe
turn and run
only talking sense
try whistling this
sinner
last day of June
walking on the spot
into the sunset
last to know
wherever you are
anytime (with audience member)
love you til the day I die (with audienc member (Steve))
faster than light
four seasons
into temptation
I feel possessed
twice if you're lucky
elephants
Amsterdam
leaps and bounds
message to my girl
mean to me
don't dream it's over
gentle hum
throw your arms around me

can't think of any others at the moment. Neil made lots of mistakes, forgetting words etc which was great. He was also trying to connect his laptop to the bush hall wi-fi to make a skype call. Couldn't connect at first then when he got on there was no one about. he talked about wanting to call peter, nick or elroy.

wow - that's an amazing setlist. So much to ask. Any comments on the new CH release? Thoughts on the new songs?

Thanks for sharing, Finner79.

no comment on the new record. I think neil played all the new crowded house songs on piano.(edit, Amsterdam on guitar) Neil commented that twice if you're lucky has gone through quite a few changes and that it was quite different from versions people may have heard on bootlegs. I liked this of the new songs the most and they all worked well just stripped back on piano. I took a video of Amsterdam and a few other songs

Great gig, amazing setlist and so good to hear a lot of the solo songs after what feels like ages.

Bush Hall is a fantastic little venue. Very intimate.

I shot some good video for all those Frenz who weren't able to make it, about seven or eight full songs shot from the balcony, sounds great. I'll try to get them up on Youtube at the weekend.

It was indeed - totally fabulous. Like Neil said, it was like a family gathering except that everyone would have needed to be more pissed for it to be one his family gatherings..!

He was really, really enjoying himself and abandoned any sense of a set list early on to play whatever was shouted from the floor. The guy asking for Leaps and Bounds was particularly funny :-)

And pianomansteve - you rock mate!

Oh what a night.

Neil was in very fine mood indeed even if someone did spill his whiskey.
I managed to get 2 requests played, Last Day Of June and Try Whistling This.

There was a total family feel to the evening and it just felt fantastic.

The young lady who got up and played the three notes on the piano for Anytime, well, she will not forget that in a hurry. She was perhaps 12 years old ? I apologise if she is older. She was singing away to herself and you could just see the pleasure written large on Neil's face.

Steve the Piano man......What can i say, superb playing on Love you till the day i die. I think you had more of a handle on that song than Neil tonight.

Neil also kept trying to hook up with some family on the other side of the world via Skype, sadly nobody around and neil only has 5 people on his address book.

Right, need to chill, i should not have had the coffee on the way home.

Thanks to all those harmony singers
