Oh, Finngirl, thankyou thankyou thankyou from Julia and me for alerting us to this: the "Anytime" clip shows all the Up Close And Personal bit at the start of the song, which I missed with my own camera because I'd gone to pieces.

And HoraceScope - if you're here: You wonderful person Smiler

Here's Anytime

Did anyone manage to get 'Turn & Run' on camera?

Thankyou BART for your kind words, and for the links. The chords will also do nicely for Proud Daddy (who so far I've not got around to mentioning but he did stump up for the tickets and do all the driving) on the 12-string Smiler

- you're welcome, vicarious.

The 'Anytime' clip filmed by Horacescope is great and, if anyone who isn't a fan, wanted to know why we are, it is all encapsulated in that clip - great song, self-deprecating humour, no 'ego', audience involvement & great atmosphere.

Yes, that's it Bart. I think you answered your own earlier question there (which was better - Dingwalls or Bush Hall?)

It was more than audience involvement actually. There was an element of mutual trust and understanding. I've been thinking about that ever since and trying to find a way to describe it, but Horacescope's clip says it all.

Thanks for all the videos everyone, and also DPL for your photos in the other thread. I like the one of Neil and the laptop. It was so funny when someone to the right of stage asked him to move it because it was in her way. He apologised: "You dyed your hair specially and everything, and you get your view obscured by a laptop"

Come to think of it, the joke was on technology all night, from the pedal reconfiguration, through the hilarious wifi connection episode, to the continuation of Neil's rant against beeps....

If anyone has any photos they can share (like Neil, I don't do FaceBook!) I'd love to see them.

Yep. I'm here. So happy you like my clips! This kind of feedback is exactly why I do it. I hope I didn't block anyone's view with my digicam held up high above my head all night.

Thanks to all who uploaded the you tube stuff - wonderful.

I'm one of the girls involved in Beep-gate! I dont blame Neil at all for his rant but i couldnt find the MUTE on my new ("annoying") camera =( - still, it was worth it - i got told of by Mr Finn.

He is a genius at work and didnt need the beeps distracting him and i did apologise. I was about 4 feet away from him and its the best Finn experience of my life ...sigh...........

- I guess, alucidor, that I'd answered that in my head after seeing the first clip posted to Youtube.....just needed the confirmation from someone who was there. Dingwalls was brilliant and there were moments when the sense of a shared experience between performer and crowd came close to Bush Hall (e.g. DDIO) but they were just moments, not a sustained 2.5 hrs of togetherness which you guys got last Wednesday.
