Mmh. I've got Throw Your Arms Around Me and a wee bit of Gentle Hum close up, but the quality isn't very good. I missed Private Universe, Faster Than Light, Last Day Of June, Leaps & Bounds and Mean To Me.

Lucky, lucky girl - but couldn't have happened to a better person! Good for her. Wink

See you in Oxford

Hello Rachel, teacher from the queue! Thanks for all your kind words. The day after the gig, in the Music lesson at Julia's school the very indulgent teacher had the class all watching her on YouTube on the projected computer screen. This experience has been catastrophic for homework, and she'll only get back down to earth if and when she wants to.

I love this thread: it keeps that magical evening alive, and I shall miss it when it all dies down - but think of the work I shall be able to get on with again Smiler I've also rather hogged this topic so I think I'll lay off now, and thank you all for your indulgence Smiler

I got a bit excited for a sec seeing it linked on this page, but it's gone.

C'mon guys--anyone got Wherever You are--even just a wee snippet..and then there you go, the whole show can be seen Wink

Yes, thank you very much, Martine. Much appreciated!

I've been enjoying the Youtube clips a lot, and the 3 new songs he performed sound great. Anyone else think Amsterdam sounds a little Neil Young? I had Old Man stuck in my head all day, and finally I realized why when I listened to Amsterdam again tonight.

curious that there was nothing from TOE....maybe Neil wanted to shift entirely away from that, played them enough in the past couple of years. Or maybe they don't belong in this class of songs? What are your thoughts?

Perhaps 'Nobody Wants To' hear those songs anymore??!

I think the show was largely request-driven. He wasn't going to leave DDIO out and kicked off with Private Universe (i.e. his choice and in set list). Walking On The Spot was a request certainly. Be interesting to compare Neil's intended set list with what actually got played.
