BART, I agree that the low level of interest is extremely surprising, particularly given that Santa Barbara looks to be about an hour-and-a-half from Los Angeles, which typically is a Finn stronghold.

The only sort of explanation that I can come up with is that people expect this event at SOhO to be heavy on 7 Worlds material that they're perhaps not as eager to hear, rather than on other Finn vehicles (?). If so, I don't expect that view to necessarily be the correct one, and people may well be missing out. Could it be possible that people are a bit confused, thinking that the event is strictly a film screening, rather than a gig?

LA rush-hour traffic is beyond horrible, which might be discouraging those particularly living south of LA proper from making the trip. San Francisco looks to be about a six-hour drive, so may be a bit much to ask. It also doesn't seem as though this event has been very much promoted, so people may not be aware of it through the channels that they might otherwise receive this information. Not sure why Neil wanted to keep the affair so low-profile, but he may get his wish.

Perhaps people will show up at the door. Eager to hear reports of the show from those who attend. Enjoy!

I think it was just because when we did find out on the forum, it was too late for many to take off of work. I'm sure they'll end up being a lot of people there and maybe not necessarily Frenz members. At least I hope!!

Just to clarify - film screening is at 19:30, Metro 4 618 State Street

& then the gig is at 22:00 at SOhO, 1221 State Street. 5 mins walk, according to Google

I hate flying but I got over it long enough to get myself from Sydney - L.A. so I would just have to take the good with the bad there

The Largo shows in LA last year were packed with Frenz from all over the continent and beyond. I think if there had been more notice, this would have been better attended. Many people cannot rearrange lives to attend a show with a week's notice. I am happy that some fans will be able to go and I'm looking forward to full report. You lucky people!!

Standing in front of the theatre now. No, not for the film already, just here to see the theatre. The venue is like a small club. We peeked inside and saw a grand piano and someone tuning it. There ya go, Bart! Nothing else happening, just meeting up with some Frenz!

Ooooh! I'm with you in spirit Havelin! I still remember our 2am romp thru the streets of LA post CH. Ambushing Neil and Nick after Largo. Rushing the after show and getting right there within breathing distance! Pondering Elephants So you drench yourself in that magical music, and amazing Frenz and send some of the sparkle our way when you're done! Luv ya!

Hey Havelin. Maybe you could ask him if there is a confirmed release date for the new CH album!

I asked him why "Cool Down" by Wilco was excluded from the album (it was in the movie). He responded that you'd have to buy the DVD to get it or something to that effect. At the venue now. Ready for the shoooooow.
