You could do a "what I would do to get Neil Finn to my city" contest. Who knows, maybe Nettwerk would add a date? (WhatAre! did, when I sent them my pitch on Pittsburgh and Tim Finn!!!!!! Tour was cancelled after 9/11 though.)I think this will be fun, and hey, if it gets a date considered or added, that's GREAT. So here are the rules. Any entries that don't go by these rules will not be considered for the winning prizes.
1) Tell me what you would do to get Neil to play in your town on his next tour. Are you sure he's coming to your town, ie: you live in Los Angeles?
Then write what you'd do to get him to play in your back yard, but include your town or nearest city so that we can know where you are likely to be seeing him live.
2) Entry must be emailed to webmaster@frenz.com no later than 11:59pm (2359) GMT on Tuesday 23 April. This gives you just over a week. Entries posted here or emailed to any other email address will NOT be considered.
3) Entry may be as long or short in length as you want, but it must be written. Please do not send songs, gifts, bribes, body parts, attached files, or anything that is not plain written text.
4) Entries should not include anything sexual or violent toward any living or nonliving thing. For example, please do NOT say you would kiss a tree or you would literally kill two birds with one stone.
5) Entries will be judged by me for cleverness, originality, and good or fun ideas. You may write about specific marketing ideas if you have them, or you can write something more off the wall. It's up to you.
6) There will be 5 winners chosen. Each winner will be allowed to choose either the DVD or the CD. I do NOT have five of each, so the winners will pick from what I have by the time they each contact me (after being contacted that they won). So if you are the last winner to contact me, you want a DVD, and I have none left, you are getting a CD.
7) If you don't win one here, you are strongly encouraged to go out and buy 7 Worlds Collide on DVD or CD at your local store. No Finn fan should be without them!
I WILL let Peter Green and Nettwerk know what towns were represented in case it's clear there is previously undiscovered love for Neil somewhere!
