I'm sure most Tim fans would very much appreciate a quick review (or a long review, as the fancy takes you ) (or a long review as the fancy takes us ) if you have the time afterwards.

Yay, just got tix for Tim's show at the Soiled Dove in Denver on September 5!

Has anyone been to a show at this venue? It'll be new to me.

What will be the line up for this tour? Tim and Brett? Something a bit more extensive this time? I must admit I'm hoping for a band to be accompanying Tim, but as a good friend said to me, I'll take him any way I can get him!*

Hey CMC, that certainly does sound like something that Devil would say! She's still trying to get me to come over in September, even though there seems to be nothing doing on the East coast as yet. Hmmm, tempting, Denver is one place I must return to, and it sounds like I'd be in good company at the show!

No word about the lineup as yet, but if you're extra lucky you might get those who've been working in the studio, namely Eddie and Miles as well as Brett, and one would assume if that were the case a bass player and drummer would be needed. Still, if the venues are small again it might be another more acoustic set. Tell you what, if the word comes out that Ed's in on this one, it will be very hard to keep me away from the US in September, even if my good east coast frenz (including Devil, who has a ticket to a forgotten show with my name on it) are being sadly neglected.

Well it appears that I may not be seeing Tim in Portland now but in fact can probably get to the San Diego and Los Angeles shows. Still waiting on confirmation from Mr Springsteen on his dates but there are rumoured dates out there that will lean favourably towards these 2 Tim shows for moi

Mr S should get back to you as soon as possible yemanja, so that Mr F can know whether you'll be there or not.

Have to laugh though, the ticket price was $29.00 but was then charged a facility charge, convenience charge (not particularly convenient for me at 5.15am ), international willcall and an order processing fee - total all up $45.95. Still, not complaining as I now have the first of my 2 tickets to see the lovely Tim

Especially since I've said such things in your presence, mummakook . My brother calls me Demon Broad on occasion, so there you go.

I just scored our Wiggles tickets for Philadelphia in August--my son and I go always with hope in our hearts that special guest Tim Finn will miraculously appear with his guitar .

We are usually the only ones in the audience wearing Split Enz tees.

I have a sort of theory as to why Tim hasn't crossed the prairies in...oh....24 years--i think he's still worried that mother/daughter act mentioned in Enzology is still lying in wait for him somewhere between Moose Jaw and Virden.

That would have been creepy.

Still, he does his shows around the place now, and we're all constantly there, and it doesn't seem to have put him off.

I can answer for Devil, BAB, since she has a ticket with my name on it for that show and we're still holding out for word on a replacement show. Not looking too good with it only being about a 3 week tour mostly on the west coast as was said in the newsletter. *sigh*

I can offer my services from September 1. I could be a combination of tour manager (well backup since he already has one - TR and Devil can vouch for my organisational skills), photographer and "protector" (it has been said of my physical presence that people would think twice before messing with me) who isn't the full-on bodyguard. I could also write the odd promo piece for a few local papers as a form of PR, not to mention do my best to keep you guys filled in on the happenings. Oh well, one can dream!

Hmmmm. Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I just dropped into Myspace, and there's a message there to say that Tim has added two new dates to his US tour.

Apparently those dates, and links to purchase tickets, are up on his Myspace page now.

Hope that's good news for US Tim fans.
