Wow, nice to see that he's included Club Congress in there - A really nice, very intimate venue Smiler

Whadya know - If you can't make it to the Enz (As I couldn't in March), sooner or later one of them will make it to you!

No joy here either I'm afraid. I see the question's been asked on his MySpace Smiler so hopefully there'll be some joy there!

Hey Iarla,

So happy for you and the other Frenz in the Tucson vicinity. I was wondering if this is the first time a Finn has played in Tucson. Do you know? I'm originally from Tempe, AZ, so I was thrilled to pieces to attend the CH show their last year. Sorry, this is a bit off topic, but when I saw the show listed for Tucson, it set my mind wandering a tad.

Strikes a chord in everyone

Okay everybody, pray that the weather causes a late grape harvest here in N. CA because that date is right smack in what should be the busiest time at work for me! :-/ I'd love to see him at that venue. It's one of the few places I've been backstage and it amuses me that it used to be a bordello. Hopefully, this show will be better than the Independent gig earlier this year since even Brett said something he could not put his finger on was way off that night. It will hold special significance always though, since I was the only one of the ordinary people that night who got to meet Tim and shake his hand! I got my first autograph from the Finns that was personalized too. What an incredibly handsome man he is...

Well news for me today is that I will be in/out of the US now before any of Tims shows Frowner Very disappointed but am quite certain that he will grace our Australian shore with his presence sometime later in the year.

(I am however extremely happy that I will be seeing the wonderful Mr Springsteen again as he has finally set some dates!! Hershey PA on 19th Aug, Milwaukee on 30th Aug and hopefully a handful of others in between Smiler)

That's a bit disappointing for you in relation to Tim yemanja, however fantastic that you'll get to see Brucie. Big Grin

All is not lost though, you will be seeing Tim in about 5 weeks' time. Wink Big Grin

MeltyIce and I will be there (and Victoria too)...can't wait! The Doug Fir looks like a really great venue.

We'll be in the front row. Cool

Sensational Leanne. Big Grin

Does that mean we can expect front-row-like reviews? Big Grin Wink

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a reviewer...I think I tend to just get wrapped up in the experience as a whole and not be so good at picking out specific details. But between Melty and I, we should have something for ya. Big Grin

His Victoria show is now shown for 2pm not 9pm...makes a big difference in the planning...must get front row!

Tis funny. Even I underestimated just how great that pull would be!

Tis a pity you won't be there, Martine, but I'll make sure they look after Melty at least in Portland.

In addition to the 3 shows hyacinth mentioned, I'm also going to all the CA shows (doing a bit of a road trip with a friend), so San Diego, LA, Santa Barbara and San Francisco. Devil Abroad will also be joining us in Santa Barbara.

How things change in a week, eh guys?!

There's no way I could do Tim's US shows, because there's no way I could afford the airfare (the fares to the US are just a bit more than the fares to NZ Eeker), but I have a general question.

What airport would I be aiming for, or what city, if I had been going to the shows, starting with Victoria, British Canada?

I've never been to that side of the world before, which doesn't mean I won't eventually get there, so I'd be interested to know.

Thanks Smiler

In Victoria, you'd aim for Victoria Airport: http://www.victoriaairport.com, and in Portland, you'd aim for Portland International Airport: http://www.flypdx.com/.

For the other cities, I'm not sure, but so far I've just Googled for the name of the ciy and the word "airport". Although, I already knew about the airports in both Victoria and Portland from my own trip planning.
