Tim Finn stammt aus Te Awamutu. Davon erzählt Tim Finn in Songs wie dem deliziösen "Horizon" und dem melancholischen "Salt To The Sea". In der wohltemperierten Ballade "Astounding Moon" versetzt er sich zurück in die Zeit, als er noch ein Junge war und vom Dach seines Elternhauses mit dem Teleskop die Sterne beobachtete. In "Winter Light", das vorab bereits auf dem Soundtrack der Fantasy-Großproduktion "The Chronicles Of Narnia" erschienen ist, steht das Licht für ein spezielles Gefühl. Und die erste Single des Albums, "Couldn't Be Done", deren poetischer Text einen Sonnenuntergang versinnbildlicht, ist mit ihren beatlesken Harmonien ein nahezu perfekter Popsong: locker wie Baiser, frisch wie eine Meeresbrise und so unwiderstehlich wie Popmusik nur sein kann, wenn sie von Meistern ihres Fachs kreiert wird. Als Songwriter ist Tim Finn ein echter Traditionalist.
