Looks like The Conversation will be released in October via EMI for Australia-NZ and fanclub copies I guess. We'll have more release info/areas as time goes on....

Gryph

p.s. didn't see this mentioned elsewhere so sorry if it has been.... (apart from www.frenz.com/timfinn/)

Don't think it has been mentioned elsewhere, not so definitely anyway, so thanks for that Pete.

I look forward to it, and hopefully a tour as well.

Fantastic news Gryph, thanks. Big Grin

Look forward to details of a tour.

I'm having another attempt at starting work in mid-July. Wink Its for the same firm who I was working for when the physio screwed my back (in the job I lost Big Grin), but its a temp position.

That could end up working really well. The temp job goes until early-mid September, so if there's a tour after the release, I may well be able to do it. Big Grin

Its what I'd be aiming for anyway. Cool

You've got to wonder whether the last record sold well enough for EMI UK to take on the new one, which would probably have a big say in whether or not he has the £££s to tour so extensively over here again... Frowner

I guess only time will answer that one. Smiler

Hopefully he can take the new album to as many people as possible.

I'm really looking forward to this one! Tim Finn is just the Finniest. I mean, sure, Neil has his own thing going in his own right, and rightly so! And no one would deny it. But there's just something so Finny about that guy Tim. Something that just radiates a certain ineffable Finniness. He's like, the Finn de ne plus Finn. He's arguably...dare I say it...Definnative.

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything.

Shouldn't cause any problems expressing that kind of opinion in the Tim section of the board, Mr. Sadly, and I for one would always support you for soing so. It's so refreshing to hear the words of someone who appreciates Tim so much more for a change. Not that I dislike Neil, far from it, but the body of Tim's music moves me far more than Neil's (who nonetheless has songs that do affect me).

I too look forward to the new album of Tim goodness, and love the fact that he is so prolific now relative to years past. Words almost fail me in descibing the pleasure of my first complete listen of IK on an Auckland beach, so here's to more great Tim music!

Well apparently EMI were 'happy' from what I've heard with sales...I know the Australasian charts were Top 20 in NZ, Top 40 in some states in Australia (Victoria being the highest) nationally top 50...can't remember the UK chart (was there one?)....so in some areas it did quite well.

Yep Gryphon unfortunately, only Couldn't Be Done spent one week at #182 in the UK singles Charts.

NZ : 21-*18*-23-26-29
Australia :*48*-74
Couldn't Be Done also #76 in Australia

So The Conversation must be loud to be heard all over the world ! No seriously, it would be a great pleasure to see him on stage in France. If you can try to convince him ... !!!

Thanks in advance.
