Here's the setlist from the Doug Fir, Portland OR. Taken from the stage...

Parihaka
6 Months
Shark Attack
Forever Thursday
Poor Boy
Weather With You
Persuasion
Still the Song
Dirty Creature
Slow Mystery
I Got You (!)
Saw and the Tree
Chocolate Cake
It's Only Natural

Encore:
How Will You Go (I don't remember them playing this one)
Haul Away
I See Red

Very small audience last night. Maybe 60 people in all. A real shame considering Tim's achievements. He was in fine voice all night. Mentioned his walk around Portland earlier in the day. Also mentioned how he now an ex-Catholic and a current Budhist.
I hadn't been on Frenzforum for several days and the last I saw was Eddie Rayner was going to be on this Tour but no Eddie in Seattle or Portland. The keyboardist he's using in (I think) named Matt. Brett is in excellent form on electric guitar. Tim on acoustic guitar, kick drum and tamborine. Great, intimate show.

OMG 60 People how can that be???
Wonder what the go with Eddie was?
Do like the setlist, good to see a mixed bag, although a few more Tim solos would be great.
Thanks Greg.

Thanks for saving me the effort, Greg! Are you going to all the shows, or any others, since I saw you posted another setlist too.

Myself and Hyacinth are rather devastated by the lack of Eddie on this tour. It was the real clincher for me heading back to this part of the world now rather than later, because I'd been waiting for a longer tour that included east coast shows where the majority of my friends are so I could combine visiting. We chatted to Simon (same keyboardist who played with Tim for his Australasian tours in 2006-7) and he's been on board this for some time now, since around the same time it was actually announced that Eddie would be joining Tim.

Nonetheless it was a great show, and wonderful to see Tim in possibly his finest form ever in North America, despite the disappointingly low ticket sales. Are you sure Haul Away's on your setlist, Greg? It's not on mine, and it certainly came across that it was done in response to a well-timed request, especially when Tim shouted out chords for the guys. He definitely did How Will You Go. I concur some more solo stuff would have been good. I found it rather Woodface heavy but tis what you expect when seeing Tim here I think.

Not much more to add for now. I'm still exhausted (was meant to be napping now but that didn't work out) and rather anxious about a missing piece of plastic that's going to make life difficult if not found soon. I do have photos, so will share some in due course

Sounds like a nice intimate show if only 60 people were there. Lap it up I say Smiler

What was the capacity of the venue?

Mississippi Studios--in January--80 people..very small place, but totally packed.

Tim! Come to my house--i can stuff at least 100 people in my back yard!

I'll make popcorn!! Big Grin

Thanks for all the quick info, kids. Too bad the turnout was so small, I can't believe Tim couldn't draw capacity at a venue that size in Portland. My sense is that Tim is best known in the US on the West Coast--am I wrong?

No Eddie? Really? Anyone know what happened there?

I'm remembering a few bits of Tim banter from Portland:

1. Calling himself a "bloody drama queen" after commenting that someone in Seattle said his songs were more "theatrical" than Neil's.

2. How he got dehydrated, overwhelmed, and "spun out" in "the mighty Powell's" bookstore (which is indeed huge - mummakook and I went there also and they were paging someone over the PA to come get a sandwich they left in the Red Room.)

3. Remarking how the Doug Fir was "very Twin Peaks" and he was waiting for the log woman to appear!
