TexasRose, turns out they could be loaded. It seems. By someone. Wouldn't know who. And no skippies in the video, for some reason.

Too late Melty - you had already impressed the heck out of me. Wink

But as Hyacinth said, guess I'll just have to watch them again. Big Grin

And many thanks to whoever... Cool

Perhaps "whoever" has No Thunder No Fire No Rain, and would also like to check out Jaffa's list.? Big Grin Wink

Well, I'll bet someone would post the other videos if someone knew of a place where she (or he, heh) could get them. Unfortunately, someone is without clue on where to find any of them. Frowner

There was one for Runs In The Family - it contains family footage of the brothers as children playing cricket (It's quoted in the Something So Strong book)
Hmm wonder if there were any promo's for
Carve You In Marble (that looks like a Promo video on the cover to moi! - how far had the relationship between artist and label deteriorated at this point? - believe it or not there was a Promo candle for this!)
With You I'm Alive (first single from Les Patterson soundtrack - surely?)
Crescendo (hmm don't know on this Australian release?)
Steel City (that needed some form of Promo! - Mmmmmmmmaybe!)

And this, from the same youtuber, is also well worth watching. Good performance of How'm I Gonna Sleep followed by some fine Tim humour.

Somebody must of made up that clip for songline.

Only 4 songs I didn't come across today were.

no thunder no fire

parihaka
many's the time

Countdown awards version of Minor Key is fabulous and Winterlight from Park City TV.

I don't know if I'd ever seen No Thunder - it didn't ring any bells. Or I'm getting old and losing my memory. Wink Razzer

Many, many thanks for this clip.

Just need the other 3 now, as in Kelly's list above. Parihaka would be an absolute treat. Big Grin

I'm so very grateful to have been able to see a lot of these old clips, but it does make you realise how special a DVD release of all Tim's clips would be (putting aside licensing, and all that stuff). To have them all in the one place, in good quality, without stopping and starting ( Roll Eyes) would be brilliant.

Actually wondering TR if Tim could do something in the vein of his rarities cd, and look after it through his myspace site. Download a vid and the money goes to him and on to the record company that he was affiliated with at the time.

Wonder if artists do that, people pay for DL to their ipods don't they? Probably all a big headache, but still keeps some dosh rolling in and a happy customer.

What an absolutely brilliant idea. Big Grin

Its probably only ever going to be has hard as people want to make it, which is true of pretty much everything in life. Smiler

I don't know whether they hold off because a certain number would have to be sold to justify a release, and they don't think there'd be enough, but from what I gather the Rarities CD was snapped up at shows pretty quickly.

I wish Peter could somehow do a poll *looks around for Mr Sadly* ( Big Grin), to ascertain whether there would be much interest. Mr S probably already has done one actually, just thinking about it (can't be bothered looking!).

Then if Phil and Tim could organise a Split Enz Mental Notes line-up show, they could flog off stuff there too. I think that a special show puts people in the mood to spend money and buy merchandise - or is that just me? Cool

Package the items carefully, like the Rarities CD 1 & 2 ( Wink), a Tim videos DVD, all in a Mental Notes line-up carry bag, and I bet they'd walk out the door. Maybe a t-shirt too?

... and I've now run out of straws to clutch at in this post. Roll Eyes Big Grin
