I do have the U.S version of Say It Is So, and I just love the videos!
Death of a Popular Song and Wave Rider are so quintessentially Tim, and so quirky! I also love Currents, which I heard Tim play on his IK tour and downloaded from the ITunes Store (:
I defintely want to find them. Does anyone know where I can get them from?

You mean you have the US version of Feeding the Gods, right?

I find Tim's back catalogue pretty easy to pick up in New Zealand, in case you happen to know anyone there (or with plans to head there shortly ... pity you didn't say anything earlier). Failing that, you could try a few of Kiwi stores online, such as Real Groovy and Marbecks

I picked up a signed copy of Say it is So in Real Groovy for NZ$4.00 Big Grin I've already got it, and nearly didn't buy it, but dA-buP said to me "you might as well", so I did. Smiler

I think that if you look around for Tim's back catalogue, you'll find it. I often see his CD's in JB Hifi, or Sanity. You may not find everything in the one place, but that's part of the fun.

Plus which, when his new album is released (or any new album), they seem to have copies of previous material, so you might get lucky then.

Great to see fans helping Smiler out - sad to see Tim's back catalogue in such poor supply wish someone could get the rights and do a proper remastering job on them all - with extra tracks everybody! Big Grin

Oh, yes, I do mean Feeding The Gods (:
I'll have to have a better look around next time I go to Sydney!
I was excited to see that they had both albums on the ITunes music store. As much as I prefer the real thing, at least I'll get to listen to the music!

Amazon is always a great option especially as the aussie dollar is so strong against the US dollar. I have bought many cds this way and can be just as reasonable price wise as JB Hifi or the likes.

or with the NZ dollar being almost $1.20 to the aussie, it's a pretty good time to be doing some Real Groovy action over the net.

Being's as this is in the process of being recorded - Let's get this thread back on track:

Echo Chamber
Will it have any of the following tracks (based on Fans setlists)
Secret Heart (originally Persuasion's B side now with new lyrics) - More Fool Me (originally a demo on the fan club only I Like It Rare #4) - The Saw & The Tree (a couple of live versions are on You Tube) - Driving Blind/ Invisible (I'm presuming this is the same song) - Making A Mockery (originally a demo (from '92!) on the fan club only I Like It Rare #2 - a live version is on You Tube)
How about that Wilko cover he has been doing - The Lonely One or even the Enz track re-done I See Red-A-Billy! (a live version is on You Tube)

Don't know how many Tim Finn fans are aware of this but there is a new song on his My Space page called Who Owns The Song but he has already said this won't be part of the new album.

Looks as though it will be called The Conversation. With the explanation, it makes more sense, but I really did like "Echo Chamber".

Swifty Tim.
The Conversation sounds nice though I'd really liked Echo Chamber.

Great news!

But I would also like to voice my support for Echo Chamber.

I think Echo Chamber is a great title, but if Tim thinks The Conversation is a better fit for this batch of songs then he's got to go with that. After all, an album name doesn't exist in a vacuum!

So, maybe a late year tour of the southern hemisphere? Or early 2009?

I notice that Timbo's top friends all happen to be good looking petite young women (aside from Liam Finn).

I liked the title Echo Chamber a lot more than The Conversation. And I mean A LOT more. Mr. Sadly's right when he says that an album title does not exist in a vacuum but perhaps it should. A good album title can draw listeners in and peak their curiosity. That's how I felt about Echo Chamber (kind of like Sondre Lerche's Two Way Monologue) but The Conversation puts me to sleep just thinking about all the possibilities. It sounds like a new show on Public Radio.

I have to say that I agree with Painaporo.

I understand where it has come from, after Tim explained in his blog, but I still have my druthers. Smiler

Hopefully its not a done deal yet, and the name "Echo Chamber" will still see the light of day.

I prefer Echo Chamber too, but whatever Tim wants to call it is fine by me...a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.

It makes me think it's a concept album interpretation of the Francis Ford Coppola movie. And, HOW COOL would that be...?
