...kind of relieved it all got knocked on the head....would you trust Phil Judd being let loose with a can of black face makeup (you know he'd make it permanent).....I do hear there could be some rather funky suits available for Formals and Prom use that were bought but never used....

Sad in a way as CLOUD could have an amazing clip.

The ideas were 'interesting' for the Video... I'm sure PJ has mentioned what they were somewhere on his site etc....

Yeah, it's a real shame this was scrapped for the time being, but I won't give up hope for it yet.

I'd love to see Phil Judd's original vision for it come to fruition, but a simpler, more practical approach perhaps would be to make it a nostalgia piece, an expansion of this montage Jaffa put together:

Jaffa's Judder Bars

It would suit the song well and would be a great reminder and celebration of Phil's incredible legacy. It would be a really big hit, I think. Fans, young and old, would love it!

After recently taking a liking to Mental Notes, Second Thoughts, Schnell Fenster and the Phil stuff on the Other Enz CD, I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered myself a copy of Novelty Act. Eagerly awaiting the post now.

Found two copies of "Novelty Act" at the ECM CD shop in the Westfield shopping centre in St Lukes yesterday. It's out there!

Phil wants everyone to know that he now has only 150 odd copies left of Novelty Act, so if you wanted to order an autographed copy directly from him, you should act quickly.

Here's a direct link to Mr. Phudd's Novelty Shop to do just that.

He also just posted a new backing track, "Eat, Sleep, and Drink," on his myspace for the new album he's working on. And don't forget to watch the fun new clips he's posted, including his strange and hilarious "Seasoned Greetings" message.

With all this talk about ideal Juddy compilations, I wanted to remind you all about Novelty Act, whilst we await the new album!
If you haven't got it, you HAVE to get it! It's the most illuminating, original piece of work I'd heard in years, and proof that Mr Judd still has got what it takes!
To get a copy follow the links in the posting above for his website, or message Phil direct - it will be the best few dollars you'll ever spend!
