Hey DrThirsty,

Thought you already had a copy of "Those Dreaded Gnats, Xmas Negatives". Looks like the Mrs only needs to worry about Phil's new album....I suppose you could package them together somehow, and wrap them up with a To: Kurt, From: Mrs. Thirsty, type of label on them...

I thought you were coming out with a remix version. Heck, these days you only need one album, then come out with remix versions ad infinitum. I see Down With Christmas (Armpit Fart Remix) in your future.

I also see an "Unplugged" version of Novelty Act in our future. Plus, I see a Phil Judd tribute album and a Weird Al Yankovic complete album spoof......featuring "I'm In Love With a Phudd I've Never Met".

I see lots of strange things. Maybe I have glaucoma.

Yeah, a remix of Xmas Negatives, plus 3 or 4 new additions, unfortunately curves and road blocks are going to make it difficult to have ready for the upcoming holiday season.

Heard about the Phil Judd tribute album, includes Lulu singing her remake of "To Phudd, with Love".

Financial realities and other unforseen distractions has meant the proposed website is on hold.

Thanks for that. I was surprised that I couldn't even look at the old picture on the virtual archive ... everything's disappeared!

Dont wanna become anyones enemy here, but with all do respect I really dont get this one. I dont like it at all.
I've never heard any Phil solo, but this reminds me a lot of what I didnt like from Split Enz.

That's fair enough. It's good to have a range of opinions. As brilliant as I think Phil's new songs are, I realise it won't be everybody's cup of tea (maybe it's because I don't drink tea Confused )

I think most of the recording's finished. Phil's already onto ideas for the next album. The problem now is getting "Novelty Act" distributed and promoted. No record deal yet.

I wonder if this is just one for the fans - in which case, why not just release it through a web-site or the Frenz of the Enz and by-pass the record companies?

If Phil is looking for broader market appeal then recording it in the context of a reformed Enz would garner much more attention and sales.
