Not being here for very long I don't know how much it's been discussed in the past, but the other day someone mentioned the chatroom feature on this website and I took a look at it. Before this I didn't know we had one here and I'm not sure a lot of other frenz know about it too. I was the only one there for a while until Half Full joined me and we had a nice chat to each other. HI Half Full!
 So my question is, can we promote this feature more and get more people to use it?? I've seen other websites that have a chat window pop up as soon as you enter the site with all the previous messaging still on there. I just thought it'd be a great way to get to know all the other frenz here a little better  "all the flickering lights" |

I like the chatroom here - it's got some really cool "emotes" as they call them
Ashley, and anyone else who can't find it, it's found under the Go menu at the top and obviously Chat Rooms Alternatively, you can click on http://frenzforum.com/eve/chat which will even show you how many people are in there at a time (thanks Deb for showing me that!).Anyone who can't get in remember it's part of the Wanted to Say area so you need to be over 18. If you are and still having problems you can contact Deb and she should be able to add you manually. We've a also a topic running down in wanted to say - looking forward to meeting some of you on there sometime. ------------------------------------------------------------ Let your mind go anywhere it wants... I was in the chatroom during Coachella which was pretty cool. I often don't really have time to sit around and chat but sometimes I do in the evenings and it would be fun!

Ah, thanks everyone. I didn't know we had a chatroom until Coachella when people were making reference to it. Then, I didn't know where to find it.
I have been hesitant to join in a chat before, but I'm quite sure that this lovely group of people will be kind to us "mature" members who are new to it. |

I wish there was some kind of alert when someone comes in the chat room. I have the chat window open but I'm not going to sit and stare at an empty room.....I'm reading the forums at the same time. I check every few mins, but I've missed two people now. I guess my timing is just off today!

There *IS* an alert whenever people enter and leave the chatroom... Once you enter the chatroom, leave your computer speakers switched on and you'll hear a chime sound whenever other people enter/leave the chatroom. That way if you're alone in the chatroom, you can browse the forum whilst waiting for someone to join you in there without missing them. ____________________________________________________________________________ And so, that's how it goes. My computer speakers were on the whole time, and turned up quite loud since I was listening to music, and I heard no chiming. There's also a switch at the top Half-Full where you can turn the sound on and off... maybe it'd been switched off by mistake? It seems to work ok on mine, but I know you can switch it off.
Although it's not really loud like msn messenger or something... so maybe it was drowned out by the music? ------------------------------------------------------------ Let your mind go anywhere it wants... You know I meant it well... but who was it meant to help? |
